what is going on on wall street is beyond ridiculous. the flip side is that the longer the ridiculousness (wait, is that even a word?) goes on the more work i am likely to have to do in the end. so, as long as i keep up the good work here, and as long as my employer needs me, the ridiculousness (there’s gotta be a better phrase. and no, this isn’t the same as “foolishness” to me) actually could benefit me. hm.

i caught myself dancing on the train going to work. i have NEVER been happy to go to work before. i also seem to be struggling w/ the notion of leaving the work at work. 6 yrs of teaching has me brainwashed that everything must follow me like a cloud. but the freedom of clocking out and heading home with only the stuff i brought to work is amazing.
